The Professional Golfers Association of Turkey “PGA Turkey”, which was established last year with the aim of spreading and developing the sport of golf in Turkey by bringing together professional golfers in Turkey, primarily to increase solidarity among golf athletes and coaches, continues to work and develop.

PGA Turkey members, who continue to work in cooperation to move the sport of golf forward, have also started to make their voices heard in Europe.

PGA Turkey President Sezgin Ceylan and PGA Secretary General Cahit Kaya attended PGA Sweden's meeting in Halmstad in March and as a result of the meetings held, the PGA took the first step on its journey to Europe.

As a result of these meetings, the PGA of Turkey delegation met with Johan Hampf and Rainer Goldrian, the CEOs of PGA Sweden, and the request to join the alliance was welcomed positively and it was decided to start the process.

Stating that progress has been made towards being accepted to PGA Europe, which has 12 member countries, PGA Turkey President Sezgin Ceylan said; “We attach great importance to joining the PGA Europe alliance, which was established to connect national PGAs in European countries. We have made significant progress with our General Secretary Cahit Kaya in Halmstad. We would like to thank the President of the Turkish Golf Federation Yıldırım Demirören and the members of the TGF Board of Directors for their support during the process."

PGA Turkey will continue its work in Turkey as well as in Europe, providing the necessary conditions for sharing information and strengthening relationships in cooperation, helping all member PGAs to further develop the game of golf and strengthen the PGA brand throughout Europe, supporting member PGAs and their work, mutual support for training, raising and sharing standards, researching and developing joint initiatives that can support member PGAs, supporting the growth of the game in different areas such as digital systems.
